we got the results of the biopsy today. well, it seems as if my body was just giving me a scare and that the cells are benign. the doctor said that there was nothing there that would lead him to believe that it was cancer (though i do not appreciate just now finding out that that was the main thing he was testing for). however, he said we would still like me to have this damn thing removed asap.

so sometime next week, i'm going under the knife (ooo!!! fun!!!) 

it'll either be done in novi or southfield (i'm hoping for novi, cuz that hospital is nicer) and i'll have an exact date tomorrow most likely. the biggest issue (for me) is the fact that i'll be out of it for a few days, and i may need to stay in the hospital for a few days. what the hell am i going to do without my interweb????

i'm not too scared anymore. i'm not in ridiculous amounts of pain anymore, and everyone's support has been the one thing that's gotten me through this. it's a scary situation and this on top of finals almost pushed me to the edge. but here i am, smiling, cancer free, and alive, so you know what? i'm happy :)

oh yeah, i move back home on saturday, so beware. whatever that means.

so, let me update everyone. last thursday i went to see the doctor and he told me i had a bacterial throat infection and gastritis. so he put me on some meds and said everything should clear up in about 10 days.  

things were getting better by sunday, but then on monday i felt this pull in my neck everytime i lifted my chin or moved my head. so finally, after the pain got worse and worse and i could barely swallow or eat  (and after many people told me that i needed to get it check out) i decided to go see the doctor again today. 

so yeah, i definitely have walking pneumonia. sounds like fun huh? 

now i'm on bed rest, and am pretty much done with classes until finals. no zeta theta pi stuff, no work, nobanquet on sunday. nothing but medication (five different ones, to be exact) and sleep until may (pretty much).

i feel like crap. boo this!

so, today was just filled with surprises!!! all in one convo, believe it or not. so dad called me this afternoon. and he tells me that apparently i have a cousin that goes to cmu (surprise #1) and that he was on the cover of the school paper (surprise #2). and of course, i'm like "i have a cousin from your side of the family up at cmu?" and dad said, "yeah, you do." so then i ask him when (thinking it was from yesterday's paper) and he said it was from the day after cmu won the mac championship (surprise #3). so i'm like "what for?" and he goes, "well, he's a sophomore defensive back for cmu and he's holding the championship trophy." (surprise #4)

crazy huh? i guess he was a pretty big part of the game. but i found him on facebook (seeing as he and i have never even met) and sent him a message. and i guess he lives over by jenny, in the same complex where i'll probably be living next year. crazyness, huh?
